From The Autonomy Commission
A monthly letter on what autonomy actually sounds like.
Most of what gets written about this work stops at the framework. The Signal is where I tell you what it actually feels like to live it, month after month, in a body that used to perform and a house that used to hold its breath. Once a month you will get an honest letter, a reflection to sit with, a story from someone doing this work alongside you, and word of whatever is open at The Autonomy Commission that season.
A real moment from the last thirty days, and something to sit with of your own.
A story from inside the practice, changed enough to protect the person living it.
Whatever is actually open that month at The Autonomy Commission, plainly stated.
I spent twenty-nine years learning how to perform a version of faith and self that other people could approve of. What I write here comes from the other side of that. Certain months this will read like celebration. Other months it will read like grief that finally found somewhere to go. Either way, it will be true the day I send it.
James
One letter a month. No noise in between.
An institute for the self that was always there.
